Women's Pelvic Health

Pelvic floor dysfunction is more common than most people realize — and far more treatable than most people expect. At Sage PT & Wellness, Dr. Luba Khakham specializes in pelvic floor physical therapy for adult women: from those navigating pregnancy and postpartum recovery, to women managing incontinence, prolapse, or pelvic pain at any stage of adult life.

Pelvic floor PT is not a "last resort." It's often the first thing that actually works.

Conditions we treat:

We treat a wide range of pelvic floor conditions, including:
• Urinary incontinence (leaking when you sneeze, cough, laugh, or exercise)
• Urinary urgency and frequency
• Pelvic organ prolapse (bladder, uterus, or rectal prolapse)
• Pelvic pain, including pain with intercourse (dyspareunia)
• Vaginismus and vulvodynia
• Painful periods and endometriosis-related pelvic pain
• Tailbone (coccyx) pain
• Constipation and pelvic floor overactivity

What to expect:

Your first visit begins with a thorough conversation. Dr. Luba will ask about your symptoms, history, and goals — and she'll explain everything before any hands-on assessment begins. Pelvic floor PT may include internal or external evaluation, but only with your full informed consent.  Treatment may include manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, biofeedback, dry needling, and education on bladder habits, posture, and breathing patterns that affect pelvic health. Most patients begin noticing improvement within 4–6 sessions.

Why one-on-one matters:

Pelvic health is personal. At Sage Physical Therapy and Wellness, you'll never be handed off to a tech or share your session with another patient. Dr. Luba sees one patient at a time, in a private room, with your dignity and comfort as the starting point — not an afterthought.
